From the Classroom to the Dance Floor
I’m a retired public school music teacher, theater music director, church musician, and former Interim Minister of Music. My principal first asked me to handle music for school dances using just my laptop — and the response from students, parents, and staff sparked the journey that became Me Psi Phi Entertainment.
Those years conducting, arranging, and directing taught me how to read a room, set the mood, and transition seamlessly between styles — skills that now power every celebration I DJ.
Humble Beginnings
What began as curating school events evolved quickly. Encouraged by the community, I invested in a basic controller and speaker and tested my skills at small gatherings. The momentum grew, and so did the invitations to perform.
Directing music for theater and leading worship services refined my storytelling through sound — an approach I bring to weddings, corporate events, school dances, and private parties today.
Leap to Pro
About nine years ago I moved from “bedroom DJ” to full professional — upgrading to a pro controller, adding dance-floor lighting, enhancing my PA, and completing numerous online DJ courses to sharpen the craft.
Since then I’ve performed at weddings, private celebrations, corporate functions, and community events — bringing a high-energy, well-coordinated experience to every stage.
